February 2007 – December 2009
A project at the Experimental Game Lab using the Ogre Engine and other open-source libraries. Not a conventional game, it is best described as an interactive art piece utilizing various videogame technologies and it has been on display at several museums worldwide. I programmed mostly in C++ with HLSL shaders and some python scripting. Worked on multiple tasks such as GUI, machinima, camera paths, modeling, animation, and adding effects such as shadows, clouds, particles, etc.
I originally joined the EGL to help migrate Scalable City’s spiral road generation algorithm for running on our Cell Processor systems, using parallel programming to speedup the calculations. We published a paper describing some of that work ( pdf).
